Dr Harold Ma has had a storied progression to his current status as one of the few doctors in Singapore who is known to be constantly innovating and enhancing his skills, with the sole purpose of bringing out the best in his patients. Dr Ma is a general practitioner with special interests in Lasers, Aesthetics and Aesthetic surgery. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1999. He went on to complete his surgical and medical rotations in various hospitals in Singapore, and is fully experienced in surgery and patient care. He also obtained a diploma in dermatology from the prestigious University of Cardiff, Wales.

Dr Ma subsequently pursued his love for helping individuals realise their optimum potential. The result is Freia Medical Aesthetics - Hair restoration, Aesthetic surgery and Laser clinic, a one-stop clinic which has the answer to all your beauty and aesthetic needs. Dr Ma has a wealth of training in aesthetics from top-class doctors around the world. This includes Vaser training by Dr Alfredo Hoyos, who pioneered the Vaser hi-def sculpturing technique. Dr Ma is one of the few physicians in Singapore who is accredited by Ministry of Health, Singapore, to perform liposuction procedures, based on his training and track record. Dr Ma also learned from renowned hair transplant surgeons Dr Matt Leavitt and Dr Toni Mangubat, who are highly recognised in the fine art of hair restoration in USA. Dr Ma had the very special privilege to be one of the few doctors in Singapore to be personally trained by Dr Akihiro Minami from Japan, in various aesthetic procedures. Dr Ma's training was and continues to be highly influenced by another great mentor, Dr Joseph Galvez from the Philippines. Dr Galvez is a facial plastic ENT surgeon and the Allergan-appointed trainer for Botox and Juvederm products in Asia. Dr Galvez is one of the few surgeons who have perfectly balanced the fine art of teaching and performing aesthetic procedures. Dr Ma has received training as a laser physician in Singapore. He utilises a wide range of safe and effective laser systems including the Medlite, Sciton Profile and Carbon Dioxide laser to aid in treating a broad range of conditions, such as pigmentation (including melasma, freckles, solar lentigenes), acne scars, pores and poor skin texture. Dr Ma has been featured regularly in interviews and magazines, including The Straits Times, Haarper's Bazaar, Tatler, Silverline, Nu You and Mangosteen for his insights into issues relating to aging gracefully, maintaining a youthful physique and introducing the latest beauty technology to his readers. True to his belief of maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle, Dr Ma continues to be an avid sportsman, having been a part of the National Windsurfing Team from 1998-2000.
